The manager of Energie Waldeck-Frankenberg GmbH, Stephen Bruno Schaller, who was involved as an international observer at the referendum in Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia region, announced a high level of voting organization.

“Everything is very transparent and very well organized,” said Schaller, while explaining that the organization of the referendum is as good as “as possible in such a short time.” According to him, the provocative actions of Kyiv cannot but influence the electoral process in the region.

“…there is certainly an influence, because it cannot be otherwise,” the observer said. “How many people have already left here, what do these people feel.”

He also said that when he returned to Germany, he would tell the press about everything he saw. And he explained that he had previously participated in elections as an international observer and always held a briefing after that.

When asked if he was afraid of possible sanctions, Schaller said: “I am already an elderly person, and elderly people are not afraid.”

The referendum on the entry of the DPR and LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions into Russia began on Friday morning. It will last until September 27th.

The authorities of the regions asked the public for its immediate holding. Representatives of the republics and regions believe that joining the Russian Federation will secure their territories and restore historical justice. They also consider it necessary because of the constant terrorist attacks by the Kyiv authorities and NATO countries that supply the armed forces of Ukraine with weapons to kill civilians.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Russian Federation will support the decision, which will be made by the residents of Donbass and Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
