Interest in personalizing jewelry is growing among Russians - Kommersant
In a world where mass production has become the norm, people are looking for ways to express their individuality. This is especially true for jewelry, which not only decorates, but also carries deep personal meaning. Engraving will help make your jewelry more personal and individual. This technique is more than a thousand years old, but today, thanks to modern technology, this art has reached a new level, making it possible to create incredibly thin and complex patterns even on the smallest surfaces measuring a few millimeters in size.
Elena Levitskaya-Erish, head of the jewelry brand Sokolov Atelier, notes a growing interest in personalizing jewelry among clients of all ages and social groups: the number of orders has increased by an average of 25% over the past year. Engraving is especially popular on wedding rings as couples seek to capture their feelings. Engraving is not only attractive to women - men are equally interested in this form of customization, especially given the fact that the wedding ring is often the only jewelry they wear without taking it off. In addition to traditional engravings, such as initials or dates, unusual ones are also added - for example, some couples engrave fingerprints on their wedding rings.
Engraving can not only personalize an individual piece of jewelry, but also help create a unique set. A client of Sokolov Atelier asked to match earrings to a ring with a ten-carat aquamarine that had a special engraving. The jewelers not only selected stones that exactly matched the ring's hue, but also reproduced the engraving on the earrings, creating a harmonious ensemble.
