Indonesia is working on security guarantees that will allow Russian airlines to avoid plane arrests, Indonesian Ambassador to Moscow Jose Antonio Morato Tavares said.
In a commentary to RIA Novosti, he said that Russian air carriers want to receive guarantees that after the launch of direct flights, their aircraft will not be delayed under the sanctions regime.
According to the Indonesian diplomat, the authorities of his country are studying whether it is within their competence to resolve such an issue.
He stated that Indonesia is interested in the flights of Russian airlines and keeps in touch with them.
As part of the sanctions imposed by the West, the planes of Russian companies were repeatedly arrested abroad.
