Ukraine intends to train pilots and tankers to fly planes and tanks made in Western countries already now, said David Arakhamia, a member of the Ukrainian negotiating group and a member of the Ukrainian negotiating group.

According to Arakhamia, although there is no political decision yet to provide tanks and aircraft, Ukraine manages to "gradually soften its position." According to him, Ukraine asks that part of the funds from the allocated assistance programs be used for education.

Arakhamia stated that the training of tankers and aircraft pilots takes 3-8 months. “That is why we want the training to begin now, and the weapons themselves will arrive over time,” he said.

On September 30, the deputies of the German Bundestag rejected the proposal of the CDU / CSU bloc to increase military support for Ukraine and organize the supply of tanks, reports Die Zeit. Earlier, Assistant to the President of the United States for National Security Affairs Jake Sullivan said at a briefing that the possibility of supplying Ukraine with tanks, including Abrams models, was not ruled out, but so far the United States was not ready to announce such assistance. At the same time, Sullivan announced next week's announcement of a new military aid package for Kyiv.
