The Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) tried to attack Russian positions on the Svatovsky sector of the front in the LPR, but the offensive was stopped. About this “RIA Novosti” informed Andrey Marochko, an officer of the People’s Militia of the LPR.
“The armed formations of Ukraine are trying to intensify offensive actions in the direction of the settlement of Svatovo. Over the past 24 hours, several enemy company-tactical groups tried to break through our defense line from three directions at once. All attacks were repelled,” he said.
According to Marochko, the enemy suffered serious losses and was driven back to their original positions.
The day before, November 28, the Ministry of Defense reported on repulsing the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Krasnolimansk and Kupyansk directions in the LPR, as well as Artemovsk and Yuzhnodonets in the DPR. In total, the enemy lost more than 80 servicemen per day in the LPR, follows from the report of the department.
Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia, and on October 19 martial law was introduced in the regions.
