As part of the autumn draft, the number of conscripts called up for military service will amount to 51 thousand people. This is 3 thousand less than in 2021.
“In total, more than 51,000 people will be called up by the military commissariats of the Central Military District this fall. It is worth noting that in the fall of 2021, about 54 thousand citizens were called up from the regions of deployment of the Central Military District, ”the press service of the Central Military District said in a statement (quoted from TASS).
The Central Military District is deployed in the Siberian, Ural and Volga federal districts. Conscription commissions will work in all 29 constituent entities of Russia included in the zone of responsibility of the Central Military District.
Autumn call in 2022 starts from November 1 – a month later than usual. In the Kremlin explained this is the workload of military registration and enlistment offices due to mobilization. In total, about 120,000 people are going to be called up as part of the autumn draft.
