In Tatarstan, four times more teenagers started boxing



The “Boxing to School” project has been operating in the republic since 2019, thanks to which the number of people involved in this sport has almost quadrupled, Deputy Minister of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Sadriev said at a press conference.

Compared to 2019, the number of boxers has grown by almost 3,000 children, and there are about 4,000 of them in the republic.

We tested the project at school No. 49 in the capital of the republic. Today the project is implemented in ten educational institutions of six municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan. They were supplied with the necessary inventory and equipment, said the president of the boxing federation of the republic, Sergei Ignatiev.

The mission of the project is to raise children healthy, physically and psychologically strong. Conditions are being created for them through physical activity - boxing training, Ignatiev said.

The project, which started in Tatarstan, is being adopted by other regions of Russia.
