In St. Petersburg, the deputies of the Legislative Assembly Denis Chetyrbok, Anton Solovyov and Valery Garnets took the initiative to ban the sale of lighters and other products with liquefied petroleum gas, including gas cartridges, to minors.
As planned by lawmakers, sellers will be required to ask buyers for a passport, writes “Fontanka”. Violators of natural persons will face fines from 3 to 5 thousand rubles, officials will receive fines from 30 to 50 thousand, legal entities – up to 300 thousand.
The initiators of the bill said they want to limit the sale of potentially dangerous goods to children and protect them from substance abuse. Deputy Chetyrbok said that the project had already been approved by the Legislative Assembly Commission on Social Policy and Health and was supported by Governor Alexander Beglov.
