In Novy Urengoy, the problematic Yunost pool will be opened after reconstruction in September 2023

The head of Novy Urengoy, Andrey Voronov, on the evening of March 27, spoke about how the reconstruction is going on in the Yunost pool. This is a problematic object for the city, as the work in it was delayed.

“There will be three floors in the Yunost pool! We will complete the work by the end of summer, the swimmers will start the new academic year in the renovated native walls. The third floor contains additional rooms, training rooms, a gallery for spectators. It will be possible to watch training and competitions, support our athletes, ”Voronov said.

He noted that the builders have made significant progress over the past winter, the most complex reconstruction processes have been left behind, the building has already been connected to heat and water supply systems. Currently, workers are doing interior decoration and laying tiles.

Recall that initially the reconstruction of the pool was to be completed by the end of 2020. After the first contractor missed deadlinesa contract was signed with another company, which also at the beginning of 2022 stopped deal with the object. The pool is currently being reconstructed by the third contractor.
