The Lithuanian authorities have changed their minds about including the Ukrainian singer Svetlana Loboda in the list of undesirable persons. This was reported to TASS by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Baltic Republic.
The press secretary of the country’s foreign ministry, Paulina Levitskaite, said that there were no legal grounds for the artist to be blacklisted in Lithuania.
The topic of the possible recognition of Loboda as persona non grata in the country was raised after the appearance of a report on the tour of the Ukrainian singer in some cities of Lithuania.
So the Minister of Culture of Lithuania Simonas Kairis noted that Loboda’s position regarding the conflict in Ukraine is still incomprehensible. He also called on the organizers of the singer’s tour in Lithuania to cancel her concerts.
