From October 1, the Federal Air Transport Agency of the Russian Federation (Rosaviatsia) introduces an “open skies” regime at the Kaliningrad airport Khrabrovo, reported on the agency’s website.

According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, such a measure was introduced for a period of two years. The mode allows foreign airlines to operate flights and fly from Kaliningrad airport without landing in their country, the department shared the details.

This gives the right to foreign airlines to fly to Kaliningrad and fly out of the city using the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 7th “air freedoms”.
