The German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) opposed the participation of athletes from the Russian Federation in international tournaments, according to an official statement published on the official website.
The corresponding decision was made following the meeting held on Friday. As stated, DOSB does not support the boycott of the Olympics in Paris if Russian and Belarusian athletes participate in them. As they say, “the only victims of the boycott will be athletes.”
The Executive Committee of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on January 25 called for the return of Russian and Belarusian athletes to international competitions in a neutral status, while proposing not to allow athletes who actively supported the special operation in Ukraine.
