In Biysk, Altai Territory, a rally was held against the rise in prices for housing and communal services. According to the Biysk deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Maria Prusakova, a thousand residents came out to him, they demanded the resignation of the governor of the Altai Territory, Viktor Tomenko.

“People demanded the resignation of the governor of the Altai Territory! Today, during speeches at a rally in the city of Biysk, a demand was voiced for the resignation of the governor and an expression of no confidence in the deputies of the Biysk City Duma, which caused the most thunderous applause of thousands of Biysk residents who came to a rally against the increase in housing and communal services tariffs, ”the deputy wrote on the page in “In contact with”.

In 2022, housing and communal services tariffs increased twice in Biysk – by 6.5% in summer and by 11.5% in winter. In January, the communists of Biysk refused at the rally due to speeches with “negative emotional coloring”

From December 1, 2022, for the second time in a year, the government allowed governors to raise housing and communal services tariffs. After the rise in prices, the Russians began to go out rallies. In recent weeks, protests have taken place in Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Petrozavodsk, Barnaul, Rubtsovsk, Kamensk-Uralsky and Kizel in the Perm Territory. Due to the increase in tariffs, residents of 12 Sverdlovsk cities turned to court.
