Russian President Vladimir Putin held an operational meeting with the permanent members of the Russian Security Council. At the meeting, he proposed to discuss interethnic relations. During his speech, he said that ill-wishers are trying to stir up the situation, but the authorities should not allow it.
“Today, we will deal with the same issues in relation to ensuring the security of Russia, in this case, domestic political security, taking into account the efforts that our ill-wishers are still making and intensifying them in order to shake the situation inside the Russian Federation. And you and I must do everything in order not to allow them to do this under any circumstances, ”— said Vladimir Putin.
During the meeting, Mr. Putin noted that 190 ethnic groups live in Russia, so the issues of interethnic relations are extremely important for the country. FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov and Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev made presentations at the meeting.
