Hurricane wind left tens of thousands of residents of the Moscow region without electricity

On September 19 and 20, about 90 cases of technological failures at power supply facilities occurred in the Moscow Region due to hurricane winds. As a result, 62 thousand residents of the Moscow region were left without electricity.

On September 19 and at night on September 20, the wind speed in the Moscow region reached 25 meters per second. Wind gusts knocked down trees, some of which damaged power lines. There were no such problems in Moscow, but some residents of the region had to dine by candlelight.

Power outages occurred in the urban districts of Bogorodsky, Zaraysk, Ramensky, Odintsovsky, Orekhovo-Zuevsky and others, the press service of the Ministry of Energy of the Moscow Region reported.

Now, according to the Minister of Energy of the Moscow Region Alexander Samarin, the supply of electricity in all settlements affected by the violence of the elements has been restored.
