Hockey club “Spartak” (Moscow) announced the next dismissal of the head coach.

As stated in the Telegram channel of HC Spartak, Igor Grishin resigned of his own free will.

“The club’s management accepted the resignation and thanked the specialist for his work,” the press service of the red-and-whites noted, adding that Aleksey Zavarukhin, who had previously been an assistant to the head coach, was appointed acting coach.

Igor Grishin will continue to work in the Spartak system at the Khimik club (Voskresensk).

The Red and Whites are ninth in the Western Conference with 58 points. In the next match, Muscovites on February 7 will play Dynamo Minsk on the road.

Recall that in mid-November 2022, Igor Grishin replaced Boris Mironov as the head coach of HC Spartak after a series of unsuccessful team matches. Under the leadership of Grishin, the Spartak team first began to win, but then the number of lost matches again became too high.
