Hockey players of the Angara region for the first time won the Spartakiad of the youth of Russia

The team of the Irkutsk region won the bandy tournament as part of the IV Winter Spartakiad of the Youth of Russia. Competitions were held on March 14-19 in Kuzbass. The participants were 9 teams from Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Sverdlovsk, Irkutsk, Kemerovo, Arkhangelsk, Ulyanovsk regions, Krasnoyarsk and Khabarovsk territories, the Republic of Khakassia. This is reported by the Ministry of Sports of the region.

Irkutsk athletes born in 2004-2005 played in groups in the preliminary stage. And in the final stage, the winners of the groups played a match for the gold medals of the Spartakiad. As a result, the Angara team won the first place. The participants won all four matches. David Koreshkov and Anton Skripkin scored the most goals, Evgeny Martynov scored a double, Ivan Vorobyov scored another goal.

The team’s forward David Koreshkov was recognized as the best scorer of the game – he launched 22 goals into the opponents’ goal. Hockey player Anton Skripkin has the second result – 20 goals.
