HC “Torpedo” shared points with Minsk “Dynamo”

Nizhny Novgorod hockey club “Torpedo” in the last match with Minsk “Dynamo” shared points, losing in extra time. The main time of the match ended with a score of 2:2 (0:1, 2:0, 0:1), in extra time, luck smiled at the guests. The final score is 2:3.

Nizhny Novgorod hockey players did not begin to change the attacking style of the game, demonstrated this season under the guidance of head coach Igor Larionov. The guests also decided to play attacking hockey.

The scoring was opened at the 15th minute of the first period by Dynamo hockey players – Pavel Varfolomeev, after a rebound in the middle zone, found himself face to face with Ivan Kulbakov and used his chance – 0:1.

In the second period, Nizhny Novgorod increased the pace of the game and forced the guests to retire more often. The implementation of the numerical majority followed immediately – Maxim Fedotov “punched” Alexei Kolosov with a powerful shot on the oncoming puck, having distinguished himself in the second meeting in a row. And 5 minutes before the break, Denis Yan completed the partners’ efforts with an accurate hit from close range in the 5 on 3 format – 2:1 in favor of Torpedo!

In the third period, our hockey players had many chances to consolidate their success, but the puck did not want to cross the “ribbon” of the Dynamo goal. “If you don’t score, you are scored”, unfortunately, this rule worked in yesterday’s match – Cedric Paquette equalized the score, after which the game went into overtime – 2:2.

Extra time ended 75 seconds after it started. Joseph Dushak brought victory in the match and an additional point for Dynamo – 2:3.

After 13 games, “Torpedo” takes 3rd place in the “West” conference. Our team has 17 points (6 wins in regular time, 2 wins in extra time, 1 loss in extra time and 4 losses in regular time). At the moment, the Torpedo team scored 41 goals, missed – 31.
