September 24 announced "Green Saturday" - a charity event for pets
“With the onset of cold weather, helping shelters for homeless animals is especially important. Food, medicine, household items - this is what is required constantly so that cats and dogs are healthy and feel at home. In Moscow last year, about 3.4 thousand dogs and cats from city shelters found a new home. Now the Moscow government is working to create a single electronic database of stray animals. With the help of this catalog, it will be possible to effectively track the fate of animals and look for loving owners for them,” said Anton Kulbachevsky, Head of the Moscow Department of Nature Management and Environmental Protection.
Muscovites will be able to purchase new clothes for their dog, a toy for a cat or a wheel for a hamster - this time the citizens will exchange pet accessories and will be able to donate the necessary goods to animal shelters. It can be any accessories, medicines or food for dogs, cats, hamsters, turtles, rabbits, birds, fish and even exotic animals.
The action for the exchange of unnecessary things in good condition "Green Saturday" started in Russia in April. Prior to this, the townspeople brought electronic equipment, clothes and shoes, books, board games, and school supplies for exchange. The promotions will last until the end of the year. The next one will be held in October and will be devoted to the exchange of items for hobbies and creativity. You can always see the full schedule of "Green Saturdays" with the addresses of exchange points and topics on the project website.
