Greek PM threatens to punish Turkey for border violations

Speaking at the Scaramanga shipyard in the suburbs of Athens, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said that whoever violates the country’s borders will not go unpunished.
He made this statement at the ceremony of entry into the Greek Navy of a new patrol ship with guided missiles “Captain Lieutenant Vlahakos”. The politician emphasized that in the 21st century there is no place for imperial visions of other eras. Problems should be resolved peacefully in accordance with international law.
“This is what our peoples demand, and it is a mistake, a big mistake, when some try to poison the imagination of their public by inventing enemies where they simply do not exist,” Mitsotakis said.
He refuted the Turkish theory of “gray”, that is, disputed zones in the Aegean. The prime minister also recalled the decision of Athens to strengthen the country’s navy in order to strengthen its security.
The Greek army will receive three new Belharra frigates, four modernized MEKO-class frigates and Romeo anti-submarine helicopters in the near future. Other decisions will soon be made to enhance the photo of Greece.
