In Moscow, at the VTB Arena, the final match of the VTB United League Super Cup, in which CSKA and Zenit met, ended. The victory in the match was won by the team from St. Petersburg with a score of 71:70.

A few seconds before the end of the match, CSKA took the lead, but an accurate hit by Thomas Wimbush from behind the arc 2.3 seconds before the final siren brought victory to Zenit. Guests from St. Petersburg are taking away the Gomel Cup from the Mother See.

The most productive player of the meeting was Nikola Milutinov, who scored 22 points. At Zenit, Thomas Wimbush showed the best performance – 20 points.

In the group stage, the wards of Javier Pascul were defeated by Lokomotiv-Kuban (73:74) and won the match with Partizan (81:65). The army team beat UNICS (76:71) and Mega (101:76).

Forward “Zenith” Thomas Wimbush was named the MVP of the tournament.

Alexander Shcherbenev (Lokomotiv Kuban), Malcolm Casalon (Mega), James Nunnally (Partizan), Jalen Reynolds (UNICS) and Nikola Milutinov (CSKA) were in the symbolic five of the tournament.

Javier Pascual (Zenit) received the award of the best coach of the Super Bowl 2022.
