According to German Foreign Minister Annalena Burbock, politicians and diplomats advised her not to say anything superfluous and not to joke about Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
“I was warned: Annalena, in the near future, please, no jokes about the chancellor. And most importantly: please do not say too much,” she said.
On Saturday, Burbock was presented with a playful order “Against brutal seriousness” from the Carnival Association of the German city of Aachen. The award is presented to well-known politicians for their sense of humor and closeness to the people.
As the minister noted, she wanted to appear at this event in a leopard costume (Leopard is the name of the main battle tank of Germany), but then changed her mind.
