Director of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Viktor Zolotov, visited the units of the National Guard in the Crimea and Kherson region. In Crimea, he checked the training of snipers, the course of tactical and fire training, and also handed over the latest sniper weapons.
In the Kherson region, Zolotov heard reports on the situation in the region. He said that in the NVO zone, the enemy has an increase in the number of mercenaries from Europe. According to him, they have significant experience in participating in armed conflicts in various countries and appropriate training.
According to the National Guard, since the beginning of the NMD, the department’s sappers in the liberated territories have destroyed more than 13 tons of explosives and neutralized over 112,000 dangerous items, cleared about 17,000 kilometers of roads from unexploded ordnance, saving the lives of civilians.
The head of the department said that since the beginning of the SVO, 10 officers of the Russian Guard troops have been awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation, more than 20 thousand have been awarded state and departmental awards.
