Due to planned work, the Power of Siberia will suspend gas supplies from September 22 to 29, follows from the message of Gazprom. The technical works of the gas pipeline are carried out twice a year – in spring and autumn. In 2022, they were held from March 29 to April 4.

“From September 22 to September 29, planned maintenance work will be carried out at the Power of Siberia gas pipeline. For this period, gas transportation will be temporarily suspended,” the statement said. statement.

The Gazprom press service clarified that preventive maintenance of the equipment and systems of the Power of Siberia gas pipeline is carried out twice a year: in spring and autumn. This follows from the agreement between Gazprom and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) on the purchase and sale of gas via the “eastern route”.

In the spring of this year, planned work was carried out from March 29 to April 4. In 2021, autumn prevention was carried out in the last week of September.

The Power of Siberia is a main gas pipeline that supplies gas from Yakutia to Primorye and China. The gas pipeline is approximately 3,000 km long and has a capacity of 38 billion cubic meters. m per year. In 2014, Gazprom and CNPC entered into a 30-year agreement under which the Power of Siberia should supply 38 billion cubic meters. m of gas per year. In 2019, the gas pipeline was put into operation. In the first half of 2022, the volume of gas pumped to China through the Power of Siberia increased by 63%.

Now the Power of Siberia gas pipeline transports gas from the Chayandinskoye field to Russian consumers in the Far East and China. At the end of 2022, gas supply to the Power of Siberia will begin from the Kovykta field in the Irkutsk region.
