FSB announced the prevention of a terrorist attack at an oil and gas facility

The FSB announced the prevention of a terrorist attack by Ukrainian special services at an oil and gas facility that supplies energy to Turkey and Europe, transmits RIA Novosti agency.

“The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, as a result of a complex of operational-search measures, prevented an attempt by Ukrainian special services to commit a sabotage and terrorist act at an oil and gas facility that supplies energy to Turkey and Europe,” the statement said.

The FSB was also able to detain four Russian citizens who helped the Ukrainian special services in preparation for the sabotage.

It is specified that during the operation, two improvised explosive devices were seized and a man born in 1978, recruited in Ukraine by SBU officers, was detained. He was found to have a means of communication containing correspondence and negotiations with the curator, instructions for assembling an explosive device, as well as the coordinates of the place of the impending terrorist attack.
