French deputy Nicolas Dupont-Aignan criticized the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny for a photo in front of a portrait of Stepan Bandera. The MP posted the comment on Twitter.

The scandalous photo previously appeared on the official Twitter account of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The post was published on January 1, Bandera’s birthday.

“The disgusting post of the Ukrainian parliament was published on January 1 and removed immediately after the negative reaction of Poland and Israel,” said Dupont-Aignan.

The Polish Foreign Ministry said earlierthat Warsaw does not accept honoring Bandera. They emphasized that he was responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of Poles in Volhynia.
