Fraudsters started using the theme of mobilization to steal money

Konstantin Melnikov, head of the department for analyzing and evaluating digital threats at Infosecurity a Softline Company, told Izvestia that fake resources have appeared on the Internet, on which citizens are promised payments in connection with mobilization.

One of these sites, investigated by the editors, offers to take part in the ZaNashi program and receive 6.5 thousand rubles. As usual in such cases, in order to receive the amount, scammers require you to enter payment and personal data, that is, your full name, phone number, card number, login and password for entering the online bank, and even a verification word.

As the expert recalls, it is not worth waiting for payments after this: having seized all the necessary information, the scammers will at least clear the account to which they were granted full access by a gullible user.

As experts emphasize, swindlers quickly adapt their schemes to the current agenda and different population groups. Now, for obvious reasons, schemes based on the themes of credit holidays and partial mobilization of citizens are becoming especially popular with them.
