Rosenergoatom announced the appointment of the head of a new company that will operate the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant in Energodar.
“The former chief engineer of the Balakovo nuclear power plant, Oleg Romanenko, headed the company,” the structure, which is part of Rosatom, said in a statement.
Earlier on Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the transfer of ZNPP under the control of Russia, the status of the operating organization was given to the Joint Stock Company “Operating Organization of Zaporizhzhya NPP”.
