For the first time in 56 years, a team from the Moscow region won a draughts competition

Athletes from the Moscow Region became the winner of the All-Russian Championship “Miracle Checkers” for the first time

Competitions were held between schoolchildren from different regions of Russia. As a result, the winners were students of school No. 12 named after V.P. Chkalov from Shchelkovo. Thanks to their team, the Moscow Region became the winner of the tournament for the first time in 56 years. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the region.

The competition was attended by 120 athletes in 31 teams. All participants were selected at competitions in their region. The winning team included: Andrey Dorofeev, Sofia Sycheva, Iskander Salikhov and Polina Oksenenko.

The All-Russian Miracle Checkers Tournament has been held annually since 1967 among teams of educational institutions. This year the tournament was held on the basis of the site of the Tsarsky Les Park Hotel in the village of Pokrovskoye, Odintsovo District.
