For SSJ-New and MS-21 delivered domestic radio equipment

The research and production enterprise Polet of the Ruselectronics holding (part of the Rostec state corporation) installed domestic communications equipment on the first prototype SSJ-New aircraft, a representative of Ruselectronics told Vedomosti. Prior to this, such equipment was purchased in the United States, France and Israel.

In particular, Polet handed over to Irkut (an aircraft developer) a meter-range radio station for receiving and transmitting data, short-range antennas, software for managing and routing radio communications, a representative of Roselectronics said. The company also handed over a set of ABSA-21 intercom equipment for transmitting information between flight crew members and flight attendants in the aircraft cabin, alerting passengers, and receiving alerts from alarm systems. “Preparing to send equipment to the second experienced SSJ,” the source added.
