Finnish border guards: Russians massively forge stamps and residence permits

The Finnish Border Service has published statistics on attempts to enter the country on fake marks and documents. As it turned out, as far as the Russians are concerned, we are talking about many tens and hundreds of cases, according to the telegram channel. “Earlier then others”.
According to the Finns, the border service is currently investigating 350 cases of forged border stamps and 88 cases of forged residence cards in the EU. The period for which such a number was accumulated, however, is not indicated, as well as whether the border guards had to deal with the needlework of individual Russians or the products of some counterfeit firms.
Earlier, the Yle publication reported a sudden obstacle to the implementation of the idea of the Finnish authorities to build a fence on the border in order to stop the attempts of enterprising Russians to pass through the forest in Suomi.
It’s all about environmentalists: the local SYKE institute said that Finland’s bear and wolf populations need “new blood” from Russian territories, and the fence will largely cut off cross-border gene flow. Apparently, these considerations turned out to be stronger than humanitarian principles. In any case, the border service began to study the impact of the fence on the surrounding nature.
