Financial literacy will be included in the high school education program

Next year, classes on financial literacy will be included in the school course “Social Studies” in grades 10-11. This was reported by the Ministry of Education. By the way, in grades 1-9, financial literacy is already a mandatory component of the program: it is integrated into courses in mathematics, computer science, the world around us and geography.
High school students will be told about the financial market, the work of the Bank of Russia, financial technologies, the causes and consequences of inflation, foreign exchange investments. Also, the training course will include topics that may be related to personal finance and protection from financial fraud, tax formation, lending features, personal budgeting.
Financial literacy is included in the federal educational standards for high school by order of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. Curricula must be adapted to the new requirements of the standards by September 1, 2023.
