FC Rostov lost to Khimki in the Russian Cup match
Football club "Rostov" met with "Khimki" as part of the fifth round of the Russian Cup. The meeting took place in the Moscow region on October 2.
The “yellow-blues” played a draw with the home team in regular time. The Don club led the match 2:0, but conceded two goals at the end of the second half.
After the final whistle, the teams went to a penalty shootout. The decisive penalty kick was missed by midfielder Evgeniy Chernov. Rostov lost with a score of 8:7.
Despite the defeat, the Don club entered the playoffs of the Russian Cup.
