FBI seizes 11 sets of classified documents at Trump residence

During a search of the residence of former US President Donald Trump in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, FBI agents seized 11 sets of classified documents, including those marked “top secret”, informed The Wall Street Journal, citing the inventory.

Four sets of documents labeled “top secret” were intended only for access in special state institutions, three sets had a “secret” status, the rest – “confidential”. In total, during a search of Trump’s house, the FBI took 20 boxes with various materials, folders, photographs and notes. Also, according to the inventory, the materials contain some information about the “President of France.”

Search of the Trump residence passed 8 August. The former president noted its inappropriateness and complained that FBI agents broke into his safe. According to US media, the search was related to documents that Trump took with him after leaving the White House. We are talking about 15 boxes of documents that contain information about national security: the US National Archives asked Trump to return them “for many months” and eventually turned to the FBI. Subsequently, they were returned, but, according to media reports, the Ministry of Justice nevertheless initiated the issuance of a search warrant so that the FBI officers would make sure that no documents were taken away from the estate.

Formerly The Washington Post informedthat the documents that the FBI was looking for at his estate contained classified material related to, among other things, nuclear weapons. At the same time, the interlocutors of the publication did not say which state the nuclear weapons belong to, what kind of information the agents were looking for and whether they found it as a result.
