FAS asked marketplaces for information on prices for military products


The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) sent requests for prices for military products, in particular for military equipment, to Yandex.Market, Ozon and Wildberries. Previously, the FAS also checked retail chains to clarify the pricing policy for military accessories - such events in the regulator are explained by complaints from citizens and State Duma deputies.

“The department asked the largest online trading platforms Yandex, Ozon and Wildberries to provide information on the weighted average, maximum and minimum selling prices and on the dynamics of sales of military equipment and other military products in August-September 2022,” the report says on website FAS. It is specified that the regulator intends to check the "validity of the change in cost" of products.

Earlier, the FAS also sent requests to the Sportmaster, Voentorg and Hakki networks demanding provide information necessary for the analysis of price dynamics for military goods. After the announcement of partial mobilization in Russia on September 21, reports began to appear on the network that citizens called up for military service were advised to take their own uniforms with them. On the government portal "Explain.rf" saidthat mobilized citizens can take their equipment into service.
