Experts are not sure that the Russian Armed Forces used the ODAB-9000 in Volchansk

Experts doubt that it was ODAB-9000 that was used in Volchansk

Edition "Military Review"with reference to experts, expressed doubt about the use by Russian troops of a high-power volumetric detonating aerial bomb ODAB-9000 in Volchansk, Kharkov region.

Earlier, military correspondent Andrei Rudenko published a video of an attack on the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Volchansk. In his publication, he suggested that it was ODAB-9000.

Thus, the publication’s experts referred to the fact that earlier the head of the Tactical Missile Arms Corporation, which produces this type of ammunition, Boris Obnosov, said that equipping the FAB-5000 high-explosive bomb with a universal planning and adjustment module was inappropriate.

The authors of the publication wonder whether the designers changed their decision or whether the bombing was carried out by dropping directly over the city. At the same time, they suggested that this strike could not have been carried out by an aerial bomb at all.

ODAB-9000 is a high-power volumetric detonating aerial bomb. The mass of the explosive is about 7 tons, and the explosion power is 44–45 tons in TNT equivalent.
