Information appeared on the website of the Japanese Foreign Ministry, according to which Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and the head of the European Council Charles Michel agreed that anti-Russian sanctions should be maintained.
It is specified that Michel attended the state funeral ceremony for former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
“During the negotiations, Kishida and Michel made a decision, according to which at the moment it is extremely important to maintain the unity of the G7 and tough sanctions against Russia. Among other things, a decision was made to support Ukraine,” the Japanese Foreign Ministry added.
