Etiquette specialist revealed the features of presenting gifts to Putin

Birthday gifts in the form of melons and watermelons do not meet the norms of etiquette. At the same time, before giving any present to the president, this is agreed in advance. About it "Lente.ru" said Albina Kholgova, president of the National Association for Business Ethics.

“We must understand that there are no surprises at this level. Melons, dogs, balls, tractors - all this is agreed in advance and given with permission. Of course, if we reasoned in a different plane, we could say that it is incorrect to give a tractor and watermelons, ”the specialist emphasized.

On Friday, October 7, Russian President Vladimir Putin turned 70 years old. In connection with this event, the head of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, presented him with a tractor, and the leader of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, presented melons and watermelons.

In turn, Kholgova stressed that if the birthday boy is going to be given gastronomic gifts, then the best option would be beautifully decorated sweets and champagne, "the rest is unacceptable."
