The Premier League said in a statement that smoke bombs and pyrotechnics, which used to be relatively rare in England, have become a more regular occurrence this season.
“Fans caught carrying into stadiums and using pyrotechnics or smoke bombs, as well as those who run onto the football field without permission, will now receive an automatic disqualification of the club for a period of at least one year. These prohibitions may also be extended to accompanying parents or guardians of children who take part in such incidents. The decision takes effect immediately. The ban applies to both home and away matches of clubs, ”the League said in a statement after a meeting of its shareholders.
