“Ekaterinodar” – the silver medalist of the Cup of the country in beach handball

The last Russian beach handball tournament of 2022 took place in Moscow, where 6 men’s teams competed for the Russian Cup. The second place was taken by the team from Krasnodar – “Ekaterinodar”.
Participants were divided into 2 groups of 3 teams. They were led by the winners of the Russian championship – the winner of the Belgorod “Spartak-Technologist” and Krasnodar Yekaterinodar, bronze medalist. Silver medalist – Stavropol “Victor” – did not take part in the Cup of the country.
In the group, the Kuban team defeated “Kuntsevo” with a score of 2:0 in sets and the second Belgorod team “Spartak-Rify” (2:1).
In the semi-finals, Krasnodar defeated Kristall and faced Spartak-Technologist in the decisive match. The Belgorod team confidently won the first set, in the second a stubborn struggle ensued, but the Spartak team scored the decisive goal and ended the match in their favor. Belgorod made a “golden double”, Krasnodar for the second time in a season were among the winners.
In parallel with the men’s tournament, a women’s tournament was held, where the Cup of Russia won the team of the Shcherbinovsky district (Krasnodar Territory).
