Eight countries have banned citizens from holidays in Turkey: “Waiting for terrorist attacks”

While the Russians are worried about the next air sanctions against domestic carriers, due to which our tourists may not get to Turkish resorts, on Friday the 8th country in the world warned its citizens about the increased risk of terrorist attacks in Turkish tourist places in the coming days. The list of places that it is better not to visit for the time being was also provided by the Turkish press to their domestic travelers. How serious everything is and why the Russians are not being warned, we found out from the Turkish side.

Russian tour operators console their clients that Turkey is unlikely to go along with the US demand put forward the day before to stop servicing Russian aircraft “containing more than 25% of American technology”, since it is itself interested in maintaining the volume of air traffic from the Russian Federation (today it is about 120 flights a week, and summer was 750).

The States themselves are now asking their citizens to refrain from visiting Turkish shores because of the threat of terrorist attacks. Over the past four days, following the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Sweden, Italy, Poland also issued warnings regarding Turkey to their tourists, and Canada joined them on Friday. Moreover, the first five countries also closed their consulates in Istanbul for an indefinite period “for security reasons.”

“A terrorist attack could happen at any moment,” the Canadian media quoted an emergency circular from the Canadian administration, informing its diplomatic missions that “after incidents with the burning of the Koran in Europe, terrorists may attack tourists in Turkey in retaliation” (referring to the recent public burnings of the sacred books by Muslims by far-right groups near the Turkish embassies in Sweden, the Netherlands and Denmark).

At the same time, the US embassy provided its citizens with a specific list of places where “terrorist retaliatory attacks are inevitable”, and the British authorities informed their citizens about “an increased risk of a terrorist attack on the aviation sector”. As a result, all the quarters of Istanbul (Beyoglu, Galata, Taksim, Istiklal) beloved by foreign tourists, as well as the entire Turkish Riviera (resort coast) were included in the list of especially dangerous places in Turkey – in general, everything for which they go to Turkey, but at the same time and all airports in the country.

– Since everything is so terrible, why is our Foreign Ministry silent? – I’m interested in the Turkish partners of the Russian tour operator.

– These are all the intrigues of America, she made a scarecrow out of our country! The states are showing that they can deprive Turkey of tourism revenue if we do not listen to them. The Germans and the British are in 2nd and 3rd place in terms of tourism after the Russians, they are the most intimidated – they will allegedly blow up planes and resorts.

– But after all, Turkey itself has issued a warning to its domestic tourists where it is better not to go. May not be advertised.

– If the Americans publish a list of specific streets in Istanbul and Ankara and a detailed list of what can happen there, you can expect anything. And it’s better not to go there.

Indeed, the memo to the American and European tourist lists not only dangerous places in major Turkish cities and resorts (all tourist attractions, mass events, religious and public institutions, entertainment and sports complexes, etc.), but also actions – pipe bombs in public urns, arson of cars, suicide bombings and other “amateur” horrors from offended Muslim fanatics.

To this, the Turkish Interior Minister, without even waiting for official microphones and broadcasts, posted an indignant video on his own social networks: “We all know very well whose goal is to overshadow stability and peace in Turkey.” The security official called Western circulars about the “danger of visiting Turkey” a “new psychological war of the West” and recalled that European embassies and consulates in his country “closed exactly on the same day that Turkey announced that its tourism revenues reached $ 46 billion “. And the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs hastened with an official “answer”: warning its citizens about the danger of traveling to the “countries of the civilized world” in connection with the growing “religious and moral intolerance” there.

“It is clear that Turkey does not want to lose Russian tourists as well,” I address the representatives of the Turkish diplomatic mission, who agreed to a private conversation. – But, purely humanly, give advice, is it worth going to Turkey now?

– Now, in addition to provocations with the Koran in Europe, the 44th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic revolution in Iran is also coming (February 11, 1979 – Auth.). And even in calmer times this date was actively used for all sorts of “actions” designed to discredit Muslims.

– Do you mean that someone else can arrange terrorist attacks in the tourist places of Turkey in order to blame them on Muslims?

– On respectable normal Muslims. But all kinds of radical groups call themselves Muslims. True, they, as a rule, do not pursue heavenly blessings, but earthly ones: they love money so much that for a fee they are able to act according to the scenario of any customer.

While this article was being written, the Schengen Bulletin made the list of countries urging their citizens to give up their holidays on Turkish shores interactive and invited them to join it more actively.
