Dynamo went into the spring part of the Cup with a creak

New Year is not far off. In the last match of the calendar year at the Lev Yashin Stadium, Moscow Father Frost from the capital’s residence in Kuzminki and the ward of the Love Syndrome Foundation Veronika Voronina opened the Dynamo-Orenburg match with a symbolic kick on the ball. But there was also a Snow Maiden, who even went into the press box for a joint photo with one of the journalists.

Both teams thought more about the attack, however, it did not bring results for a long time. “Dynamo” in the first half had to send a leather sphere four times into the net of the goalkeeper of “Orenburg” Evgeny Goshev. But the hosts squandered moments, and the main “guilty” of this was Fedor Smolov. He himself went out on his own, and two in one, and three in two – and all “past the cash register.”

We must also pay tribute to Dynamo goalkeeper Igor Leshchuk, who showed miracles of reaction a couple of times. The football projectile even shook the crossbar of the goal, but it did not fly into the net. Fomin’s goal from the minimum offside is all that “flyed” in the first half.

The winner in the nomination “Wonders of Waste” was the same Smolov. How Fedor in the 41st minute, after a chic pass from Gladyshev, did not send a round to the guests’ net, will remain unclear for a long time. The goalkeeper of “Orenburg”, following the example of Akinfeev, “unfastened” his legs and stopped the ball with both of them after a clean one-on-one exit by the Dynamo forward.

After the break, the hosts stepped up the pressure, literally spinning the “carousel” near the gates of “Orenburg”. Goshev continued to drag the most difficult balls, but most often the Dynamo team “flogged” scoring chances themselves. The author of the only goal scored in this meeting was Denis Makarov, who came on as a substitute, and scored in the 70th minute. Dynamo player Das scored a shot at Lesovoy, who threw the ball into the center of the penalty area, Makarov took the throw to the chest and with the second touch skillfully sent it to the corner of the Orenburg goal.

Wards of Marcel Lichka practically “spud” the gates of Leshchuk, but this did not give a result. As a result, the Muscovites kept the winning score and entered the spring part of the Russian Cup from the first place. Rostov, who defeated Akhmat 3-0, is the second. Grozny will continue to play in the tournament through the Way of Regions, and Orenburg leaves the tournament.

“In the second half, the opponent was better, we didn’t succeed run away to counterattack. One moment created is very little. We looked better in the first half, but we made a lot of mistakes. Today, unfortunately, we lost the mental battle. It’s a shame. I am glad that we could play in a group like ours – with Akhmat, Rostov and Dynamo. These are the teams that are at the top of the table, we could compete with them, ”Orenburg head coach Marcel Lichka commented self-critically on the result of the game.

– You behaved quite emotionally on the edge. Was there a tough conversation with the forwards in the locker room about converting chances? How will you fix it?

“We need to keep practicing. I’m lucky to have two such strong forwards on my team. I believe that Tukavin will definitely be the main player of the Russian national team in the future. Smolov is an experienced player whose capabilities we are very familiar with. Today he perfectly fulfilled the game plan: he found free zones, supported attacks. The entire attack starting group did a good job. I changed it in the second half because we needed to freshen up the game and put pressure on Orenburg. We will continue to believe in our players and systematically move forward.
