On Sunday, September 18, thick fog spread its paws over Vladivostok. Visibility was not very good at the stadium where the players of Vladivostok Dynamo hosted SKA-Khabarovsk-2. Prior to this match, it was in fifth place in the standings with 17 points. The Khabarovsk team has only 10 points and they were in the ninth line of the standings. For the hosts, this game was the fourth in the last 11 days (in addition to the championship games, Dynamo played two more matches in the Russian Cup).
Our football players had a chance to excel in the first minutes of the first half – the home team went on the attack, however, two shots – Marat Tarek and Niki Gigolaeva – were not successful. The first assault on the gate failed. Khabarovsk, counterattacked, trying to regain the lost advantage. However, they were also unlucky. Was the fog a hindrance, or the goddess Fortuna was busy on another field that day, but the teams left for a break without opening an account.
In the second half, the Dynamo coaching staff made several changes, releasing Alexei Baev on the field. As it became known later, this bet played. Within seven minutes, he scored the only winning goal during the meeting. The striker received the ball in the penalty area, gave it to Gigolaev and quickly maneuvered to the other flank. A few seconds later, a teammate returned the transfer to Baev – he accurately struck the corner of the goal farthest from the goalkeeper.
At the very end of the match, the army team began an assault, to which even the goalkeeper joined. The apotheosis of this bulk was the blow in the fall of the SKA defender Artyom Bykovbut the ball went close to the post.
“The victory was hard, it’s good that we achieved it. The boys endure, there is character. We are wrong, of course. They gave a rest to some players, released them as replacements. We scored on time, endured until the end of the match, ”commented the outcome of the meeting. Dynamo head coach Dmitry Fomin.
In turn, the coach of the Khabarovsk team noted the will to win of his wards.
“Due to the tight schedule, the hosts released a mixed squad. Our young team did not concede. Even in the first half there were good attacks where we could score a goal. The leaders of Dynamo began to emerge. In the first 15 minutes they managed to distinguish themselves, but even after that we did not stop moving, tried not to lose the combat, ”noted the success of his wards coach “SKA-Khabarovsk-2” Georgy Bychkov.
