“For people who have problems with the gastrointestinal tract, reflux esophagitis, problems with enzymatic processing of food, pancakes can cause various intestinal problems and require surgery,” she noted.

Krivtsova added that eating pancakes can exacerbate chronic diseases. Also, they should not be eaten by people with obesity, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, small intestine problems.
