Dmitry Medvedev headed the board of directors of Rostelecom - Kommersant
Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSC Rostelecom (MOEX: RTKM). This happened at the first meeting of the new council, reported press service of Rostelecom.
Also at the meeting, four committees of the board of directors were formed: on strategy, on corporate governance, on personnel and remuneration, on audit. The Board of Directors was elected at the annual meeting of shareholders on September 16. The previous composition of the council, since 2015, was headed by the President’s special representative for environmental issues, Sergei Ivanov.
As before wrote According to Kommersant, 11 candidates were nominated for 11 seats on the board of directors of Rostelecom in September, including the head of the Ministry of Digital Development Maksut Shadayev, the head of VTB Andrey Kostin and the president of Rostelecom Mikhail Oseevsky.
Dmitry Medvedev in 2000–2001 and 2002–2008 served as chairman of the board of directors of Gazprom, which he left after being elected president of the Russian Federation. Since then, he has not been a member of the boards of directors of state-owned companies. Mr. Medvedev has held the post of deputy chairman of the Security Council since 2020.
