At the age of 89, director Vladimir Krasnopolsky, who filmed the TV series Shadows Disappear at Noon, together with Valery Uskov, died. Mr. Krasnopolsky died today, September 23rd. On the director’s death informed Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation.

“We offer our condolences to the family and friends of Vladimir Arkadyevich,” the organization said in a statement.

Vladimir Krasnopolsky worked at the Mosfilm film studio since 1964, the director was awarded the title of People’s Artist of the RSFSR.

Among other famous works of Mr. Krasnopolsky, filmed together with Mr. Uskov, are Eternal Call, Night Fun, Wolf Messing: Seeing Through Time, The Expropriator and others.
