In a big TV interview RTVI, dedicated to her appointment as director of the Museum. Pushkin, Elizaveta Likhacheva spoke about her attitude towards Joseph Stalin.

The reason for the discussion was his portrait, which stood in her office. Likhacheva said that controversy about him distracts Russians from real problems. In her opinion, Stalin is a pop culture item, just like Mickey Mouse. Every time people need to be distracted from something serious, Stalin gets it.

Despite the fact that his figure is complex and unambiguous, the citizens who are still discussing him have gone crazy. In addition, people have obvious problems with a sense of humor – Stalin in the photo was with rabbit ears.

“I am an adherent of a simple position: he died – that’s it, we drove through. We cannot measure our life today by Stalin, it’s just ridiculous, ”said Likhacheva.

She remembered that she had soap with the image of the General Secretary. The director of the museum admitted that it was very cool to wash it off.
