Director of the Moscow school “Pokrovsky Quarter” Pavel Terekhov enters the fight

The final stage of the All-Russian professional competition “Director of the Year of Russia. Thirty finalists of the competition will take part in the competition, including the director of the Moscow school “Pokrovsky Quarter” Pavel Terekhov.

As the Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov noted, the atmosphere in which students study largely depends on the work, competencies, organizational talent and experience of school directors.

— With your work, you make a significant contribution to the development of schools, contribute to the success of your students. Invariably set ambitious goals for yourself and the teaching staff and consistently achieve them. I have no doubt that you will continue to pay close attention to your wards and creatively approach the tasks before you. And participation in this authoritative competition will certainly become a bright stage in your professional activity and will help in your future work,” the minister said.

The competition will last until October 4 and will consist of three rounds: first, a presentation of one’s experience, which is called the “Formula of Success”, then the solution of a practical educational case – “Strategic Decision”. After this round, the top five directors of the country will be determined. The last, third round will include two tests – a “master class” and a “press conference”. After that, the name of the best director of the country’s school will be named. His award will be held as part of the celebration of Teacher’s Day in early October.

The competition is in its second year. And its task is to identify the most talented and effective leaders of general education organizations, to consolidate the image of the modern school principal as the leader of the teaching staff who successfully implements the state policy in the field of education, and to disseminate models of successful work.
