‘Descendants’ wins Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series

The 74th Primetime Emmy Awards took place in Los Angeles. In the main nomination – “Best Drama Series” – the show “Heirs” won. Zendaya (“Euphoria”) and Lee Jong Jae (“The Squid Game”) won Best Drama Actress and Actor.
Other award winners include:
- Best Comedy Series – “Ted Lasso”
- Best Comedy Actress – Jean Smart (“Tricks”)
- Best Comedy Actor – Jason Sudeikis (“Ted Lasso”)
- best mini-series – “White Lotus”,
- Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries: Amanda Seyfried (The Dropout)
- Best Actor in a Miniseries – Michael Keaton (“Breaking”)
The ceremony was hosted by Keenan Thompson of Saturday Night Live. This year’s top nominees were The Descendants and Ted Lasso, both with 25 and 20 entries, respectively.
