Dermatologist Mankhanova called epilation and peeling prohibited when carrying a child

Pregnant women are forbidden to do hair removal, chemical peels and some other cosmetic procedures, said dermatologist, cosmetologist Saran Mankhanova in a conversation with Lenta.ru.

In addition to laser, photo and electrolysis, Mankhanova did not recommend waxing or sugaring during pregnancy, since the pain during these procedures is stressful for the expectant mother’s body.

She advised to remove unwanted vegetation during pregnancy with a razor.

Chemical peels should not be done by pregnant women due to the fact that high concentrations of acids can provoke the appearance of age spots on the skin, it will be difficult to get rid of them.

The doctor also called any beauty injections unacceptable when carrying a child.

Pregnant women should temporarily abandon biorevitalization, mesotherapy, plasma therapy, Botox injections and fillers. Due to hormonal changes and changes in the reactions of the immune and nervous systems, the body of a pregnant woman may react poorly to these procedures or they will not work.

Due to the fact that studies of injectable drugs in pregnant women are not conducted, it is not known how safe they are for them.

As Mankhanova noted, it is impossible to do any physiotherapeutic procedures and hardware techniques, including microcurrents, phonophoresis, phototherapy, laser resurfacing. And it is worth abandoning any body wraps, as well as mechanical and ultrasonic facial cleansing.
